Cattle - Organic Calf Feeds
Organic Calf Feed – Rearing (3–6 Months)
Prepared for the period after weaning, in which growth continues rapidly. Taking the increasing development and feed intake needs into account, it supports steady continued growth and prepares the calf for the young stock period.
Balanced growth after weaning
The 3–6-month period is an important stage in which the calf moves away from the milk period, relies more heavily on solid feed and continues to grow. The aim in this period is to support healthy, controlled growth appropriate to its age, rather than fast but unbalanced development.
Bioyem Organic Calf Feed is an organic compound feed prepared for the nutritional needs of 3–6-month-old calves in their post-weaning development period; as a concentrate, it does not replace roughage and is used together with roughage in the ration.
In this period, a balanced supply of energy, protein, amino acids, minerals and fibre is important for skeletal and muscle development as well as continued development of the digestive system.
As feed intake increases after weaning, the calf’s growth performance and body condition need to be monitored regularly. Running the feeding programme in line with age and development lays the foundation for stronger, more balanced development in later periods.
