Organic Lamb Feed – Growing (2–6 Months)
Prepared for the period after weaning, in which growth continues. Taking the lambs’ changing nutrient needs into account, it is aimed at supporting steady live weight gain and appropriate body condition.
Balanced growth continues
The 2–6-month period is the growing period in which lambs continue to develop rapidly and solid feed intake becomes more pronounced after weaning. The aim at this stage is to support age-appropriate live weight gain while ensuring that skeletal, muscle and overall body development progress in a balanced way.
Bioyem Organic Lamb Grower Feed is an organic compound feed prepared for the nutritional needs of 2–6-month-old lambs in the growing period; as a concentrate, it does not replace roughage and is used together with roughage in the ration.
In this period, the balance of energy and protein in particular, as well as amino acids, minerals, fibre and other nutrients, is important. Running the feeding programme in line with the lamb’s growth rate and feed intake helps sustain balanced growth.
Monitoring feed intake and live weight gain, especially after weaning, helps manage the growing period soundly.
A balanced feeding programme applied in the 2–6-month period supports the lamb in reaching body development suited to its next rearing or production period.
