Organic Goat Milk Feed – Lactation (1–300 Days)
Prepared for the milk production and changing nutrient needs of goats in lactation. It is aimed at sustaining milk production, maintaining appropriate body condition and supporting balanced nutrition over a long lactation period.
Balanced feeding over a long lactation
In goats, the lactation period can extend over a long time depending on breed, production system and herd management. During this process, meeting the animal’s need for energy, protein, minerals and other nutrients is important alongside sustained milk production.
Bioyem Organic Goat Milk Feed is an organic compound feed prepared for the nutritional needs of milking goats between days 1 and 300 of lactation; as a concentrate, it does not replace roughage and is used together with roughage in the ration.
As milk yield and feed intake may change at different stages of lactation, the balance of energy and protein in particular, as well as fibre, minerals and other nutrients, should be assessed according to the animal’s production level.
The aim in this period is not only to support milk production, but also to help maintain the animal’s body condition and to run the long lactation process in a balanced way.
A feeding programme run by monitoring feed intake, milk yield, body condition and the overall state of the herd together helps manage the lactation period in a more balanced way.
