Sheep & goats - Organic Dairy Feeds
Organic Sheep Milk Feed – Lactation (1–150 Days)
Prepared for the milk production and changing nutrient needs of ewes in lactation. It is aimed at supporting milk production, maintaining appropriate body condition and providing balanced nutrition throughout lactation.
Balanced milk production throughout lactation
In ewes, the need for energy, protein, minerals and other nutrients increases with milk production from the first period of lactation. As milk yield and the animal’s nutrient needs may change as lactation progresses, it is important to manage the feeding programme in line with the production period.
Bioyem Organic Sheep Milk Feed is an organic compound feed prepared for the nutritional needs of milking ewes between days 1 and 150 of lactation; as a concentrate, it does not replace roughage and is used together with roughage in the ration.
In this period, an adequate and balanced supply of energy and protein in particular, as well as fibre, minerals and other nutrients, is important for supporting milk production as well as maintaining the animal’s body condition.
Monitoring feed intake, milk yield and the animal’s overall condition together throughout lactation helps run the feeding programme in line with the flock’s needs.
