Cattle - Organic Dairy Cattle Feeds
Organic Dairy Cattle Feed – Mid Lactation (101–200 Days)
Prepared for the mid-lactation period, in which milk yield changes gradually. Taking the cow’s changing nutrient needs into account, it supports sustained milk production and the maintenance of appropriate body condition.
Balanced feeding while milk production is sustained
The 101–200-day period is when the high production level of early lactation gives way to a more balanced production process. At this stage, as milk yield changes over time, the animal’s nutrient needs and body condition should be assessed together.
Bioyem Organic Mid Lactation Feed is an organic compound feed prepared for the nutritional needs of dairy cows in the 101–200-day lactation period; as a concentrate, it does not replace roughage and is used together with roughage in the ration.
The aim in this period is not only to support current milk production, but to help manage the animal’s condition in a controlled way by keeping energy and protein in balance.
The balance of energy, protein, fibre, minerals and other nutrients in the feeding programme is important. Monitoring feed intake and milk yield together, especially in this period of continued milk production, helps run the feeding programme in line with the animal’s current state.
Managing mid lactation in a balanced way supports the animal moving into late lactation in suitable condition.
