Cattle - Organic Dairy Cattle Feeds
Organic Dairy Cattle Feed – Peak Lactation (0–100 Days)
Prepared for the first period of lactation, when milk production is highest. It is aimed at meeting the energy, protein and other nutrient needs that rise with increasing milk production and at supporting the cow’s production performance.
The balanced feeding that high milk production requires
The first 100 days of lactation are the period in which milk yield rises and the cow’s nutrient needs increase significantly. At this stage, meeting the energy and nutrients the animal needs for milk production adequately and in balance is important for maintaining its overall condition.
Bioyem Organic Peak Lactation Feed is an organic compound feed prepared for the nutritional needs of dairy cows in the first period of lactation; as a concentrate, it does not replace roughage and is used together with roughage in the ration.
In this period, the energy imbalance that can arise between high milk production and feed intake deserves particular attention. A balanced supply of energy and protein in particular, as well as amino acids, minerals and other nutrients, is important for supporting the animal’s body condition and overall performance as well as milk production.
In the peak lactation period, the feeding programme should be managed not only by daily milk volume, but by assessing the animal’s feed intake, body condition and general health together.
