Poultry - Organic Laying Hen Feeds
Organic Layer Feed – Pullet (9–16 Weeks)
A feed for the growth period of young pullets being prepared for egg production. It is used to keep the flock’s growth balanced and to help it reach the right level of development for the later transition to egg production.
Preparing for the laying period
The 9–16-week period is the preparation stage for the transition from chick to laying hen. While the bird’s body structure and skeletal development continue, it needs to be prepared for the egg production that will begin later.
Bioyem Organic Pullet Feed is an organic compound feed prepared for the development period of 9–16-week-old pullets.
The aim of the feeding programme in this period is not to make the bird grow faster than necessary, but to ensure balanced, controlled development appropriate to its age.
Skeletal development, muscle structure, body condition and overall development in particular should be assessed together, because the bird’s nutrient needs will change significantly once egg production begins.
Using a feed suited to the pullet period therefore helps plan a healthy transition to the pre-lay period.
