Organic Barley
Barley grown under organic production conditions; an important grain raw material used in various applications, above all animal feed and compound feed production, thanks to its starch, protein and fibre content.
General Information
Organic Barley is one of the basic grain raw materials grown in accordance with organic production standards and widely used, especially in the animal feed sector. Thanks to its starch and other nutrients, it serves as an energy source in rations, while its distinctive fibre structure also contributes to the ration’s nutrient composition.
Depending on its intended use, whole barley can be cracked, ground or processed in other ways. It is used especially in compound feed production together with other grains and feed raw materials.
Uses
Organic Barley can be used in various applications, above all animal feeding and the feed industry.
Main uses:
- In the production of organic cattle, sheep and goat feeds
- In the production of organic poultry feeds
- As an energy source in organic compound feed production
- Cracked or ground in feed rations
- As a raw material in the production of organic grain products
- In the production of various feed and grain-based products
The way the product is used and its inclusion rate in the ration should be determined according to the target product, animal species, feeding period and the characteristics of the other raw materials.
