Organic Corn
Corn grown under organic production conditions; an important grain used in various applications, above all animal feed and compound feed production, thanks to its high energy content and easily digestible carbohydrate structure.
General Information
Organic Corn is one of the basic grain raw materials grown in accordance with organic production standards and used especially as an energy source in the animal feed sector. Its starch-rich structure helps increase the energy density of rations.
Depending on its physical characteristics and intended use, whole corn can be processed in different ways. It can be ground or cracked for use in compound feed production, or processed further for use in other feed and food applications.
Uses
Organic Corn can be used in various sectors, above all animal feeding and the feed industry.
Main uses:
- In the production of organic poultry feeds
- In organic cattle, sheep and goat feeds
- As an energy source in organic compound feed production
- Ground or cracked in feed rations
- As a raw material in organic food production
- In the production of corn flour, corn grits and other processed grain products
The way the product is used and its inclusion rate in the ration should be determined according to the target product, animal species, feeding period and the characteristics of the other raw materials.
