Before it reaches the customer, the product goes through different stages such as storage, preparation and shipment. At each of these stages, the product’s identity, quality and traceability must be protected.

That is why, at Biosmyrna, we see storage and shipment not just as a logistics operation, but as part of the product reaching the customer with the characteristics promised.

Responsibility continues after the product enters the warehouse

During sourcing, the product’s source, organic status and quality characteristics may have been assessed.

But the same information must also be preserved after the product enters the warehouse.

Which source the product came from, which product it is and under which commercial transaction it was sourced must remain known.

This matters especially in commercial structures where different products and different shipments are managed.

Storage of organic products is more than space management

A product being in a suitable warehouse is not enough on its own.

During storage, the product’s physical characteristics must be preserved, it must be kept under suitable conditions and the information about it must not be lost.

Biosmyrna works only with organic products. Not accepting conventional products into our facilities and warehouses is also an important part of our working system.

This approach creates a clear operational framework for protecting product identity in organic product trade.

Shipment is the last stage of the promise made to the customer

As well as sourcing the product correctly and storing it properly, delivering the right product to the customer in the right quantity and on the agreed terms also matters.

Before shipment, the product’s conformity with the order, the required documents and other characteristics requested by the customer are taken into account.

This way, the process that started at the sourcing stage continues all the way to delivery to the customer.

Packaging and shipment method can vary by customer

Not every customer buys the same product in the same way.

Whether the product is shipped in bulk, bagged or prepared in other packaging options can vary with the customer’s use, quantity and logistics needs.

That is why preparing a product correctly in commercial terms requires taking into account not only the product itself, but also the customer’s operation.

Sourcing, storage and shipment are not disconnected

If the right decision is made in sourcing a product but this is not carried through at the storage or shipment stage, the commercial process as a whole cannot be considered successful.

That is why, at Biosmyrna, we do not assess the different stages of the process independently of one another.

Sourcing → quality control → storage → preparation → shipment

are parts of the same commercial chain.

Protecting the product’s characteristics and traceability at every stage of this chain is the basis for keeping the commitment made to the customer.

For us, logistics is the last link of trust

For the customer, one of the most important moments in a commercial relationship is when the product is received.

The product discussed in the offer being delivered with the agreed characteristics and as planned directly affects the trust placed in the supplier.

That is why, at Biosmyrna, we do not see storage and shipment as simply moving a product from one place to another.

For us, shipment is the final point at which the promise made during sourcing reaches the customer.
